Zanusi was founded by Nomahlubi Simamane in 2001 to take advantage of the widening gap between the changing South African consumer base and the country's marketing industry, as a result of the limited understanding of the South African consumer environment. At the time, bulk of the marketing effort and advertising spend was focussed on the traditional white market.
Zanusi's main goal was to promote the adoption of an integrated brand solutions approach to marketing in the 21st century. The company remains one of the leading strategic brand consulting firms in South Africa, is 100% black-owned, employs sixteen full-time professionals of whom 71% are women, and is fully empowered.
Zanusi offers integrated brand solutions through the formulation of long-term brand building strategies, creating excellent designs, activating effective and results driven plans and sharing knowledge through facilitation of strategic planning sessions. Our core business revolves around giving clients expert advice and solutions to their branding, marketing communication and creative / design challenges. We have developed our own intellectual properties namely the Zanusi Migration Model as well as the consumer Traction EthnographicTool. The Zanusi Migration Model is a strategic tool that navigates a business through the process of modifying or changing to address new opportunities without destroying the current source of profit.
The Zanusi Consumer Traction Ethnographic Tool helps our clients find business solutions based on consumer insights thereby enabling them to develop consumer responsive strategies. Zanusi adopts the consumer persepective as a guiding principle for the design of innovative solutions.
